Ontario (Canada) deficit crisis and health reforms
Lessons for England
22 October 2012
The 快猫视频 has worked in close collaboration with its equivalent nursing organisation in Canada to highlight Ontario’s deficit crisis in the 1990s, its subsequent health reforms and the impact of these reforms on the nursing workforce and wider health care system. Ontario’s experience with implementing reforms during an economic downturn offers some valuable lessons for England.
The 快猫视频 is keen to shine a light on international case studies where England can learn from the experiences of other health systems facing similar concerns and issues. In this case, the 快猫视频 has worked closely with its sister organisation in Ontario to outline more generally the intended and unintended consequences of austerity driven reforms and more specifically its impact on the nursing workforce.
